The girls and I all had cleanings and checkups at the dentist today.
The girls did great, and were perfectly healthy. Cate even went to the back by herself – no mom necessary thankyouverymuch. (I guess I need to get more used to this independence.)
I, however, have issues. Two cavities! A loose tooth that’s about to fall out. Okay, I should be expecting it since it is a baby tooth that never fell out, but come on! I just want it to last until Chris is back so I don’t have to have oral surgery then take care of the girls on my own.
I don’t know why I’m so bothered by all of this. They’re very small cavities. So small that he wasn’t even sure if he was going to try to fill them at this point.
Oh, and I didn’t mention that he would like to see my wisdom tooth out. (I only have one).
I think it’s just that I don’t want to think about one more thing while Chris is gone. Here with my parents we’re more than managing, but when I get home, I think it’s going to take all my energy just to keep the regular things in order. Nothing extra, please!
At least I won’t be surprised if it falls out soon. And at least the cavities are going to be filled while my mom is able to watch the girls.
(Look on the bright side, Erica. Look on the bright side.)
