rainbow whatevers and playing outside

Here’s another little craft I threw together for the kids yesterday.  I don’t know what to call them, and they used them a lot of different ways.  Also, the weather was beautiful, so we took the show outdoors.  I love watching them play.  In the picture below you can see the view from our front door.  We live in a cul-de-sac now.  All the houses look the same, so you can see what our building looks like by looking at those in the picture.

Cul De Sac

These are paper plates, middle cut out, with a rainbow of streamers stapled to one side.  They were alternately kites, headbands, bracelets, and much, much more.  It was really windy yesterday.

The “whatevers” were really pretty in the wind.  They had a lot of fun playing with them.  (And just being outside in general on such a nice, warm, sunny day.)

One last picture.  For some reason, Cate has taken to wearing these black Spiderman socks with her black Mary Janes from this winter.  Of course all during the cool weather, she wanted to wear her sandals.  She looks so weird with those heavy black shoes on when it’s so nice outside and with her pretty, girly, butterfly print dress. Those shoes are going to be put away this weekend.
