Today Blythe is 1 month old.
Geez, it passes in the blink of an eye.
I must say that the transition from 2 to 3 has been the easiest so far. I didn’t want to jinx myself by saying it earlier, but this month has really seemed like a breeze. Yes, I’m tired, but I’m managing just fine. Heck, we even moved and I’m still saying it’s been the easiest adjustment out of all the girls. Of course, Chris has played a huge part in that. I surely would have lost my sanity entirely if it hadn’t been for him.
Blythe is a sleeper still. We keep waiting for her to really “wake up” but it hasn’t come yet. She sleeps most of the day, and sleeps pretty well at night. Her most alert period during the day seems to start around 7-8 in the evening so settling her for the night tends to take some time. Once she is asleep, though, she usually stays asleep for a 5-6 hour stretch, eats, then sleeps for another 3 hour stretch.
The babe is starting to smile at us, which we love. There’s nothing so precious as those gummy first smiles.
- Bouncy seat
- Her sisters’ hair in her face
- Getting dressed & undressed
That’s about it for this month. She’s pretty simple so far.
