Yesterday Cate decided the baby’s name. We’re going to call him Thomas.
No, we don’t know the gender yet. No, that’s not a name we’ve really brought up.
I told her, “Cate, I don’t know that we’re going to name the baby that. What it the baby is a girl? Haven’t you been telling me you wanted another sister?”
She replied “I already have an old sister.”
Then she went on to insist that the baby’s name is Thomas. In fact, she’s been referring to “baby Thomas in Mom’s belly” all this morning. This is so strange because she’s been throwing a fit during the whole pregnancy at the thought that the baby could be a boy. She only wants another sister. (Or so she’s said.)
Does she know something we don’t?
