Ribbon Wands

Today’s project: ribbon wands.

I took dance classes when I was little, and one of my favorite things was to use the ribbons. I decided to make some for Cate and Meg, and a few extra to give to their friends come Christmas.

I bought pre-cut dowels, and wrapped them in bits of fabric scraps I have in my stash, using mod podge to secure.

Using various pieces of hardware (eye hooks screwed to the end of the dowels, lanyard clips, and metal eyelets) I attached 2 yards of ribbon to each dowel.

They are so much fun! I can’t wait to give them out.
